Summer in the castle

A day full of summer fun in a special setting:
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the "Summer in the Castle" family festival will take place at Jagdschloss Platte from 12:00 to 18:00.

The event is being organized by students at the Friedrich-List-Schule in Wiesbaden as part of their training to become event managers. Together with local partners, the students are organizing an open-to-the-public summer festival for families, friends, and anyone who would like to spend a relaxing day in the historic atmosphere of the hunting lodge.

On the forecourt, food trucks and a beverage stand will offer culinary delights, while a bouncy castle and an XXL Connect Four game will provide fun and activity for younger guests.

On the ground floor of the hunting lodge, a cake and waffle stand invites visitors to linger. Additionally, there will be creative activities for children, such as crafts and face painting, as well as an information booth about the Platte Hunting Lodge and the Friends of the Friedrich List School. On the upper floor, a small market with various vendor stalls will be set up.

On the upper floor, visitors can look forward to a diverse market with various sales booths. This will be complemented by a creative art workshop under the theme “My Most Beautiful Wiesbaden,” led by a Wiesbaden-based artist, where participants are invited to artistically capture their favorite spots in the city. The workshop will take place in three time slots: 12:00 PM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM, and 4:00 PM–6:00 PM.

The participation fee for materials and instruction is €18 per person. Since there are a maximum of 10 spots available per workshop, advance registration via email is required: vi.visionartwebde

The outdoor area will also be part of the summer festival: on the lawn behind the castle, guests can look forward to a wine stand in cooperation with Wiesbaden Rheingau, comfortable seating, and musical entertainment provided by a DJ.

Time: 12:00 PM–6:00 PM; admission is free.
