Open day as part of the VITA e. V. assistance dog charity working test

On April 26, 2026, the Platte Hunting Lodge invites you to an open day - with impressive assistance dogs, free guided tours and delicious cake for a good cause.

Charity Working Test of the VITA e. V. assistance dogs

On April 25 and 26, 2026, the VITA e. V. Assistance Dogs event will once again take place at the Platte hunting lodge in Wiesbaden. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the impressive human-dog teams at work in and around the historic castle. The demonstrations provide an impressive insight into the special bond between assistance dogs and humans and show how the animals contribute to greater independence and quality of life.

The non-profit association VITA e. V. Assistenzhunde trains dogs to support people with physical or mental disabilities in their everyday lives and enable them to live more independently.

"Open day"

On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the event will be complemented by an open house at the Platte hunting lodge. The building will be open to guests between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Free guided tours will also be offered at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. No advance registration is required.

The Platte hunting lodge impresses with its extraordinary architecture and sweeping views over the Rhine Valley. Refreshments will also be available: coffee and cake will be offered on site, with all proceeds going to the VITA e. V. association.
