From a ducal hunting lodge to a unique event venue

The Platte Hunting Lodge was completed in 1826. Originally, it served as an autumn residence for the ducal family of Nassau during the hunting season and also served as a prestigious venue for social events. Over the past 200 years, the hunting lodge has experienced an eventful history. Today, the historic, protected building combines its historic walls with modern architecture, creating a special connection between the past and the present. As an event venue, the hunting lodge now offers space for weddings, conferences, celebrations, and special events. To mark its 200th anniversary, Open Monument Day invites visitors to get to know the hunting lodge better, discover its architecture, and learn more about the history of this special Wiesbaden landmark.
