Open Monument Day: 200 Years of the Platte Hunting Lodge
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Platte Hunting Lodge will open its doors for National Historic Landmarks Day. This year, there is a special occasion to celebrate: The Platte Hunting Lodge is turning 200 years old.
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., visitors can explore the historic hunting lodge. Free guided tours offer insights into its history and architecture. At 2:00 p.m., a concert by the Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte e.V. will provide a special musical finale.

Free guided tours of the hunting lodge are offered at 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. No advance registration is required.
The meeting point for the tours is the castle rotunda on the ground floor.
Concert with the Parforcehorn Corps of the Platte Hunting Lodge
Starting at 2:00 p.m., the Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte e.V. will perform at the Jagdschloss. The concert, which lasts about an hour, highlights the building’s historical connection to hunting traditions through the sound of the parforce horns.
The concert is free of charge and there is no seating provided.
